« Andalucía En Cuatro Palabras » did NOT win

The poetry bundle « Andalucía En Cuatro Palabras » (Andalusia In Four Words) participated in the Annual Poetry Contest of the Corner. After lots of debating, the honourable council of experts decided that the winner was ... someone else. Incredible, but we should accept that not every council of experts is capable to decide which book is better than all the others.

 

We, authors of novels, short stories and poetry, think that art is not suitable for competitions. If a reader likes it, it is good, and the author who wrote it is always the first reader of his own work. Imagine that a single book receives the title "Best Book of All Time." No more books needed? Does everybody have to like that book, because the experts decided it?

 

For us at Editorial Perdido, « Andalucía En Cuatro Palabras » is a book worth reading. If someone has another opinion, we invite her to write a better book and present it to us. That way, everyone wins.
